Are you ready to step into a prestigious role where you’ll play an integral part in upholding the financial operations of The Crown Estate? We are currently seeking a dedicated Cashier to join our esteemed team. As a Cashier, you’ll work closely with our General Accounting Manager to ensure the smooth functioning of our central cashiers operation, meeting and exceeding client expectations while adhering to regulatory standards, including the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Members’ Accounts Rules (RICS MAR).
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and process all transfer requests in alignment with established procedures.
- Timely processing of income and payments within regulatory and internal deadlines.
- Provide efficient bank account services, including opening and closing, to our client accounting teams.
- Liaise with our bankers to address day-to-day queries promptly.
- Support payment processing activities for client accounts.
- Manage and resolve stakeholder bank-related queries.
- Assist in generating key performance indicator (KPI) reports.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Experience in financial systems operation within a processing capacity.
- Familiarity with MRI Horizon is advantageous.
- Understanding of commercial property service charge processes is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate queries and issues clearly.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
- Attention to detail and accuracy are paramount.
- Flexibility with working hours, especially during peak periods.
- Knowledge of cashiering procedures, and ideally, client accounting and client money rules.
- Minimum GCSE Level education, including Maths and English.
- AAT qualification or equivalent is advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office and e-banking applications.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach.
- Previous experience in the banking sector is preferred.
