Reporting into the Contract Manager, you will be supporting the Traffic Signal maintenance contracts within our Asset Management division. The role is to carry out maintenance of traffic signals and associated equipment. Additional duties may include configuration and commissioning of traffic signal equipment. This is an onsite role, covering the Gloucestershire area.
What you’ll do:
- The role will involve fault rectification and support on a wide range of traffic signal equipment.
- Working in close co-operation with customers, a high degree of customer focus is required
- Provide technical support to Maintenance engineers
- Manage small chargeable works and review with customer.
- Periodic inspections on all customer traffic signal equipment, ensuring schedule is maintained and correct paperwork generated.
- Carry out on site risk assessments and follow method statements.
- Liaising with maintenance engineers and Contract Manager to ensure repeat fault rate is kept to a minimum
- Take direct responsibility for the contracts you are working on liaising directly with the customer where necessary
- Ensure contract KPI’s are maintained and improved
Who you are:
You will have previous experience in a Traffic Signals role, with the ability to lead and guide other Engineers within the team.
Key requirements:
- Previous Maintenance role in a traffic signals environment
- Extensive controller and traffic signal knowledge.
- Extensive knowledge of UTC, MOVA and RMS Systems.
- Fully accredited sector 8
- Full Driving Licence
- Strong communication skills alongside a customer focused attitude are essential.
