Help us to be transparent as we investigate issues relating to conduct and complaints.

The Professional Standards Department are looking to recruit an Investigative Support Manager, on a part time (26 hours) basis to provide advice and knowledge on complaints against the police and internal conduct matters.


What you’ll be doing

  • Managing the administration team on a day to day basis.
  • Conducting final assessments on proportionate investigations, determining the need for disciplinary proceedings or appropriate action when necessary.
  • Providing advice and guidance to Chief Officers, senior managers, departmental heads, and others on complaints and conduct matters.

The must haves

  • Experience of managing staff and developing people.
  • Experience of analysing and interpreting data and subsequent production of reports and presentations.
  • A proven history of successfully managing competing and difficult priorities and adopting a flexible approach to working under tight deadlines.
  • Access to your own transport to allow for travel to meetings and events.

Salary – £41,928 – £50,109 pro rata 

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
