About the job you’re considering
The main purpose of this role is to secure new business sales and account management activities in MOD, focused on selling and account managing business advisory, technology consulting, digital services, CRM, cloud, data and analytics, cyber, automation, testing and application management capabilities. This role will involve visits to MOD client sites along the M4 corridor
Your role
Reporting into MOD Account Director, supporting the ongoing growth of the UK MOD business.
- £10m new business sales target
- Building and maintaining active and effective customer relationships with Key Client Stakeholders (Commercial, IT and business)
- Providing account and client management for ongoing engagements supporting growth and client satisfaction
- Maintaining and developing the opportunity pipeline for new and existing accounts.
- Co-ordinating and leading on new bids and working with strategic partners (e.g. Microsoft, and AWS) as required.
Your skills and experience
- Strong Sales ethic
- Proven Central Government and Public Security customer network
- Understanding of new world thinking:
a. Digital Development and Agile
b. Cloud and SaaS
c. Data, Analytics and AI
d. Technology Consultancy
- Experience of sales / account management in UK Public Sector and related industries
- Proven client management and internal stakeholder management skill.
- Previous MOD or Private Sector Defence experience
Your security clearance
To be successfully appointed to this role, it is a requirement to obtain Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
To obtain DV clearance, the successful applicant must have resided continuously within the United Kingdom for the last 10 years, along with other very detailed criteria and requirements.
Throughout the recruitment process, you will be asked questions about your security clearance eligibility such as, but not limited to, country of residence and nationality.
