Role Profile:
You’ll join a cohesive team of Finance Business Partners and work with our large Technical Services (TS) division, who look after our critical national infrastructure and keep all our operational assets running.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Business Partnering for Technical Services, you’ll partner closely with the TS Leadership Team and provide expert thought leadership on matters of financial management & governance, against a complex and evolving strategic technology landscape, to understand the financial implications of emerging contractual models for technology delivery and drive robust, commercial challenge across the division’s decision making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply expert thought leadership, conceptualise issues and define effective solutions to financial challenges facing the TS division.
- Shape business outcomes, using financial data to provide insight and excellent communication skills to influence decision makers.
- Lead day-to-day engagement between TS Finance BPs and the Economic Regulation and Assurance & Risk teams.
- Maintain high quality engagement with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) in identifying, shaping, and delivering opportunities for further improvement.
- Act as the financial conscience in decision making forums and collaborate across NATS to support continuous improvement across our investment governance assurance practices.
- Deputise for the Head of Finance Business Partnering – TS by attending Executive meetings.
This full-time role is based at our office in Whiteley, Hampshire and we offer hybrid and flexible working.
Key Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Accountancy / Finance qualification(s) and previous finance business partnering experience, ideally from a complex organisation.
- Accomplished, credible and respected with exceptional communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills (inc. Exec level).
- Commercial acumen and mindset and comfortable working collaboratively and in a matrix structure.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and conceptual reasoning skills and the ability to articulate complex issues to a wide range of recipients through a variety of formats.
- Resilient under pressure and able to effectively manage conflict by driving common thinking across disparate perspectives and views.
- Comfortable presenting financial data, providing insight and challenge, participating in debate of wider business issues, and providing solutions.
- Confident working across business disciplines to drive appropriate solutions, shaping outcomes and presenting findings and recommendations to senior, internal and external stakeholders.
