This is a varied and rewarding role, that presents the opportunity to work within the Theory Test Transformation team at the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA).

The successful role holder will play an integral part as a subject matter expert (SME) working within a multi-disciplined agile team creating and procuring the new transformed service.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the product meets business and user needs.
  • Identification of trends and risks to consistent provision nationally and reputational damage to DVSA.
  • Understand customer requirements so that their needs can be articulated in ways to enable effective product development.
  • Take part actively in user insight activities.
  • Support the assessment of change and improvements within the product area, understanding and managing the benefits and impacts of proposed changes
  • Deliver as a SME, assurance to the Product Manager that new process developments will be identified.

Person specification

To be successful for this role, you will have:

  • An outline understanding of Agile Delivery methodologies.
  • Knowledge of project environments, ideally with experience of dealing with outsourced suppliers.
  • Knowledge of Digital Service Transformation, and ideally some knowledge of the Theory Test system and how that may link to other systems.
  • Experience / knowledge of using a Live Digital Service and booking / on-line assessment services.

Additional Information

This role can be based in BirminghamBristolLeedsNewcastleNottingham or Swansea, your presence at one of these locations will form part of the working arrangements agreed with you. We operate a hybrid working model giving you greater flexibility about where and when you work. Our expectation is that you will spend a minimum 60% of your time at your base location. Visits to other DVSA sites or work locations count towards this.
