Location: Priory Road, HQ – Hybrid Role

Hours: 37 per week (Full-time)

Contract: Permanent

The Talent Development team have a fantastic role available and are looking for an individual to join their growing team.

As the Senior HR-Talent Development Advisor, you will be a trusted point of contact for the Talent Development Team, Department managers and other stakeholders also promoting the forces plan on a page and people strategy by creating and delivering a suite of products, resources, and interventions to help deliver the organisations vision for the Talent Development and Performance Management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Has responsibility for the effective functioning and delivery of key Talent Development projects and strategies, keeping stakeholder management at the forefront.
  • Has responsibility for delivering the Performance Management Cycle within the force, highlighting the importance of employee development and performance.
  • Is an internal advisor and works with the wider Talent Development team to assist in developing frameworks and strategies to land organisational initiatives and products with our people.
  • Be a visible role model, consistently demonstrating professional principles, personal integrity and promoting CPD.
  • Takes ownership of the running and effective functioning of Force coaching and mentoring networks.
  • Understands the organisations’ cultural ambition around professional development, talent management, leadership, DEI, and organisational expectations at an individual and local level.
  • Has ability to evaluate current activity and offers improvements to enable long term and sustainable change, considering Force strategies and policies.

 

What the role requires:

  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • CIPD Level 5, or equivalent level of expertise gained through experience.
  • Detailed knowledge of Diversity, Equality & Inclusion legislation.
  • Experience in an advisory capacity related to people development.
  • Networks inside and outside of the organisation with fellow practitioners and key contacts to exchange ideas and use these to problem solve and create effective solutions/ activities.
  • Ability to prioritise workload.

Pre – Employment Checks and Eligibility:

  • Internal applicants MUST have completed a successful 6-month probationary period and tenure (if applicable) before applying for another role within the force.
