Location: Home base can be any of our Sites: Dounreay, Torness, Sellafield, Hartlepool, Heysham, Sizewell, Culham HQ, Hinkley Point, Dungeness, Harwell.

The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service that’s dedicated to the nuclear industry. You’ll join as Administrator supporting our Ethics, Disability, and Inclusion (EDI) team.

Our team are striving to provide a high-quality service and forge partnerships within the CNC in relation to Ethics, Disability, and Inclusion. The area is going through some exciting changes and you’ll be an integral part of supporting the configuration and implementation of evolving the current systems and delivery structures. Day-to-day your role will be to provide administrative support for the function and take responsibility for liaison with stakeholders across the CNC and to act as the main point of contact for queries. You’ll coordinate meeting arrangements, from booking venues, issuing invites, taking minutes and following-up with actions after the meeting.

Part of your role will include liaising with our EDI volunteers throughout the organisation; keeping them updated on changes, inviting them to meetings and being their first point of contact for EDI queries. You’ll act as Super User for the internal intranet pages, ensuring they are kept up to date and regularly reviewed. You’ll be required to run reports and manipulate, analyse, and interpret the data, transferring to report form.

To be successful you’ll have previous experience within in administrative role and a keen interest in inclusion, equality, and diversity. Ideally you will be familiar with Human Resources, Occupational Health or Policing operational procedures/processes, however this is not essential. You’ll have lots of experience of coordinating and managing meetings; from organising, to taking minutes. You’ll be computer literate with a good working knowledge of MS office. You’ll be organised with great attention to detail. Much of your role will involve working with your team and stakeholders from across the organisation – so good communication skills are essential. If you’re also self-motivated and able to handle sensitive information discreetly, we’d like to hear from you.

Please note that you must be able to obtain the necessary level of security clearance.

This role has been assessed as suitable for regular homeworking, which will be done on a 40% / 60% split between remote and office working.
