This autumn we are expanding the Content Hub with a new team which will be deployed on breaking stories and trends across our portfolio. We are on the lookout for talented Audience Writers to help us connect with our target audiences in meaningful ways. Do you love patch reporting? What will the roles involve?
As the Warrington writer you will be responsible for producing a string of original content from the area. You will be laser-focused on the audience, bringing in and telling the stories that matter. You will be data-led, responding to what the readers are consuming and adjusting your focus accordingly. Your content will be used across the Manchester Evening News and the Liverpool Echo.
Who are we looking for?
To be our Warrington writer, you will be expected to manage and deliver a consistent schedule of high-quality pieces from and about the area, leaning heavily into data to inform your decision-making.
You will be creative and have a constant stream of ideas. You will have excellent written and communication skills. It’s important to note that to succeed in this role, you must be comfortable working to targets and deadlines and be flexible in your approach.
The role will involve shifts over seven days.
You will have recognised industry qualifications such as NCTJ or equivalent and a strong understanding of media law. As well as the Manchester Evening News and the Liverpool Echo, you may also be required to work across other Reach publications.
