The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service dedicated to the nuclear industry. Given the critical nature of our work, it’s vital that we recruit skilled and committed individuals to our team; as our Talent Acquisition Specialist, you’ll help us do just that.

As Talent Acquisition Specialist you’ll join our Police Staff Resourcing team to help attract outstanding individuals to the CNC. You’ll take ownership of the recruitment and selection of our technical, specialist, and key vacancies by supporting our Direct Hire strategy. You’ll build and develop talent pools for future requirements by proactively direct sourcing and outreach to passive candidates and continuously enhance our inclusive recruitment experience.

You’ll work with the Recruitment Manager to engage internal stakeholders and work alongside hiring managers to take vacancy briefings, paired with your market research, to inform the recruitment strategy for each campaign. You’ll also be responsible for raising the CNC’s profile more widely and networking by attending local recruitment and careers events and helping to make the CNC a local employer of choice, with a focus on our HQ in Oxfordshire and office in Cumbria – therefore you’ll need to be willing to travel to these areas around once per month.

To be successful in this role you’ll be experienced within a talent acquisition role (preferably in-house, but this isn’t essential) with a track record of recruiting a broad range of positions (including professional services/technical/specialist roles) on a national level by using passive and proactive sourcing techniques. Ideally you will be part or fully CIPD, have completed an AIRS (Advanced Internet Recruitment Strategies) course or hold a similar qualification. You’ll have excellent communication and networking skills, gained by liaising and engaging with internal stakeholders and external candidates. You’ll be self-motivated and proactive, with good research skills and the ability to communicate and advise stakeholders.
