If successful, your main responsibility will be to accurately record applications onto our Testing and Registration System (TARS). You will be diligent ensuring that all information entered is accurate, processing applications for registrations for both training providers and motorcycle instructors.

You will gather information from compliance visits, process reports and make recommendations to the Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) Registrar for refusal and removal for non-compliance. This will include drafting complex letters.

You will work closely with our CBT Enforcement Examiners, this involves collaborating with the examiners who carry out compliance checks. Ensuring that all standard checks have been actioned and logged and that all ATB site inspections processed are actioned and relevant paperwork issued.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing all applications for Approved Training Bodies (ATB) and instructors and dealing with all related queries.
  • Acquiring representations from instructors and making recommendations to the CBT Registrar for both refusal and removal.
  • Ensuring that all information on TARS is used accurately and updated promptly.
  • Processing removals and closures, including refunds for unused DL196 certificate.
  • Processing all cases promptly and within services standards.

Additional Information

This role will be based in Nottingham, your presence at this location will form part of the working arrangements agreed with you. This role is suitable for hybrid working, and therefore a combination of workplace and home-based working can be accommodated subject to business requirements. Hybrid working is a non-contractual arrangement where employees have the flexibility to work remotely combined with a minimum of 60% of their working time a month at either their principal workplace (one of the locations cited in the advert) or, when required for business reasons, to carry out separate duties at alternative working locations or DVSA sites. There may be occasions where you are required to attend above the minimum expectation.
