You will be part of an innovative digital community, working closely within a small, dynamic team where you will support the Digital Attraction & Engagement Manager to deliver exceptional communications to a varied audience.
You will help build understanding and engagement with our digital brand, DVLA Digital across our stakeholders.
By working on tasks such as content creation, developing exciting designs and supporting the delivery of internal and external events, you will be at the forefront of our exciting digital journey.
You will see first-hand what’s required to succeed in a communication role within a far-reaching government organisation as well as learning fundamental communication skills to become an effective communications professional.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Keeping up to date with digital attraction activities and proactively searching for innovative ways to tell the DVLA Digital story.
- Supporting the delivery of effective communications to deliver the attraction approach.
- Editing and tailoring messages as appropriate to ensure corporate standards are applied and that the information and delivery channel meets the needs of the varied audiences.
- Assisting the Digital Attraction & Engagement Manager with campaigns, advising teams, following the communications process, and undertaking evaluations.
- Supporting planning for department events and overall reporting.
- Creating engaging content through immersive writing and exciting designs.
- Supporting the Digital Attraction & Engagement Manager to deliver Digital Voices initiatives across the Directorate.
Person specification
We are looking for someone with excellent verbal and written communication skills who can create innovative and engaging content.
You should have a creative eye for design to help bring your words to life.
You should have good organisational skills and be able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
You must be able to start on Wednesday 3rd September 2025.
