  • Act as a clinical role model for all members of staff, driving high standards of care at all times.
  • Collaboratively working with MDT which consists of Doctors, Pharmacists, Dieticians, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Infection Control & Tissue Viability Nurses to ensure the best quality of care is provided.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, best practice and NMC codes with due care and attention

The role

Reporting to the Superintendent Radiographer, you’ll work as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging – showing flexibility flexible and adaptive working attitude is crucial to enable us to deliver an outstanding service to our patients.

The Cromwell Hospital

The Cromwell Hospital is a major private hospital in West London providing Outpatient and Inpatient service. The Hospital has 130 beds, 7 theatres, full intensive care facilities and a dedicated day surgery unit.  
The MRI department currently operates 2 Philips Ingenia 1.5T MRI scanners. We performs a wide variety of examinations incorporating neurological, musculoskeletal, angiography, liver, prostate, breast and cardiac imaging. 

The Basinghall Clinic
This is the Cromwell Hospital’s satellite site based in the City of London. Here we offer a range of outpatient services to include; Mammograms, GP services, Health Assessments, Physiotherapy.
The MRI Department at Basinghall clinic comprises a Siemens Magnetom Aera 1.5T MRI scanner which is operational between 08:00-18:00 hrs Monday to Friday. The department comprises also of a Siemens Fusion DR X-ray system

You’ll help us make health happen by:

  • You’ll create and maintain good working relationships with all members of the Diagnostic Imaging Department team, working positively to develop a cohesive team.

  • Promotion of good relations with Referring Clinicians, other hospital departments and outside organisations to ensure that the reputation of the Radiology Department is upheld.

  • You’ll be fully conversant with the Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS systems, and the computerised method of patient and examination documentation.

  • You’ll report all accidents, untoward occurrences or problems to the Superintendent Radiographer and record such incidents according to Hospital policy.

  • Ensure that you are aware of, and conversant with, the Health and Safety at Work Act and comply with the regulations set down to ensure safety for patients, visitors, and colleagues.

  • BSc or DCR in Radiography (essential)

Role Overview:

The X-ray department has two general X-ray rooms, an OPG machine, one fluoroscopy room, one DEXA scanner and one mammography machine. There is also a need to provide imaging external to the main department, namely in Theatres, Theatre Recovery and ITU.

You will be responsible for performing a wide range of radiographic procedures including X-Ray, Fluoroscopy, C-Arm, Bone Density and CT to a high standard.

You’ll maintain a high standard of imaging and patient care in accordance with the departmental and hospital quality standards, and ensure every exposure is justified and the protocol is matched to the clinical indications for the procedure.

You’ll work with high efficiency and accurately to maintain a high standard of radiography and to keep patient waiting time to a minimum in order to comply with standards of quality.

  • State registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) (essential)

The Head of Operational Resilience needs to ensure that BINS/BISL has robust resilience & business continuity arrangements in place including suitable provision for the continuous operation of all important business functions.

The need for Operational Resilience (OR) is dictated not only by BINS/BISL Board and Executive to ensure continuity of customer service, it is also mandated by the BINS/BISL regulators.

How you’ll help us make health happen:

  • Support the Director of Control & Governance in ensuring that the regulatory responsibilities in respect of Operational Resilience are fully addressed
  • Provide direction on operational resilience and business continuity matters across BINS/BISL, maturing the Operational Resilience Framework commensurate with regulatory requirements and industry best practice.
  • Provide knowledge, skills and support to business areas that will enable Senior Leaders to embed all aspects of Operational Resilience
  • Identify the infrastructure (people, premises, technology, 3rd parties) upon which these Services depend and ensure that inventories exist in which these dependencies are recorded. Align with existing authoritative asset registers and inventories such that the OR aspects of assets is recorded and understood alongside other attributes.
  • A trusted adviser on all aspects of operational resilience to the Leadership Teams providing appropriate management information to inform decisions which have consequences for operational resilience and ensuring key performance indicators are achieved and our reputation is preserved.
  • Liaise and work closely with the IT Function to ensure a coordinated approach across the boundaries of operational resilience, including business continuity and crisis management. Proactively working to reduce the likelihood of disruption to key services and ensuring that all Business Areas are appropriately prepared for disruptions.
  • Ensure the Service resilience requirements are formally accepted by the in-house owners (i.e. accountable execs/managers) of the infrastructure services and assets upon which Important Business Services depend.
  • Organise / co-ordinate periodic testing of plans in a manner that simulates plausible failure scenarios and tests recovery/resilience
  • Attend and coordinate CMT meetings to co-ordinate the firm’s response to incidents that have the potential to disrupt Important Business Services. Maintain appropriate records of such meetings, including decisions and actions. Provide expert guidance to support the response.
  • Provide the primary input to all regulatory matters related to Operational Resilience, feeding the response to the regulators via appropriate Bupa channels (typically 2nd Line Regulatory Liaison team)
  • Maintain an expert understanding of all regulatory matters pertaining to Operational Resilience as relevant to BINS/BISL.
  • Develop and maintain suitable metrics to track OR and BC status. Incorporate these metrics into other reporting packs (e.g. for REERC, RERC, MU Risk Committee) as appropriate

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Proven track record of experience in an equivalent role in FCA and PRA regulated firms.
  • Demonstrable expertise in the principles and good practices of Operational Resilience Planning.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels, able to collaborate effectively and to ensure others (notably at Exec-level and Exec-1) respect the Operational Resilience and Business Continuity agenda and objectives.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in complex organisations with matrix structures.
  • Excellent management ability to lead a function irrespective of reporting lines up and down. Resourceful and adaptable, able to work with limited resources, to apply judgement in ambiguous situations (especially risk situations) where data and facts may be in short supply.
  • Confidence at Board level and ability to effectively communicate with senior staff.
  • Delivering good customer outcomes for retail customers and understanding your regulatory obligations & putting this at the hart of what you say & do
  • Be accountable and take ownership for ensuring you are familiar with all regulatory requirements that fall within the remit of your role and comply with them at all times.

Overview:

You must have recent and significant experience of UK Aseptic services and working within oncology and chemotherapy clinical environments. You should have demonstrable knowledge of good manufacturing practice (GMP) and quality assurance (QA) standards.

You will be supported to achieve agreed objectives within given deadlines and have the opportunity to develop more advanced clinical knowledge and leadership skills. Role Overview

As a Surgical Instruments Coordinator, you will coordinate the flow of surgical instruments across the department in line with decontamination and infection control protocols. In the absence of the Lead SIC, you’ll be the point of contact between Cromwell Hospital and the Offsite service provider to ensure that instruments are collected and returned within agreed timeframes and are available for surgical procedures.

What you’ll do:

  • To manage the receipt and dispatch of surgical instruments from 3rd party offsite sterilisation service provider.
  • Handling contaminated instruments, preparing them to be transferred to the Sterilisation Departments, packing sterile instruments away on their return.
  • Ensuring there is accurate documentation for all instruments leaving and returning to the hospital
  • Management of instrumentation needs based upon Operating Theatre schedule
  • Responsible for identifying damaged instruments and coordinating this with the lead SIC
  • Make suggestions to Surgical Instruments Lead on future instrument sterilisation orders based on analysis of past tray builds and fast track usage
  • Independently determines appropriate container size for instrument containers, assess needs for custom-made instrument carriers
  • Identify and suggest approaches for storage and purchasing of inventory
  • Act as an instrument expert and resource for staff related to instrument needs

Your role as a Theatre Practitioner – Scrub Nurse (General/ Laparoscopic/ Colorectal) is to ensure that we provide the best quality service in a pleasant environment for both staff and patients whilst ensuring that a high quality, cost effective service is delivered to patients and consultant users. You’ll work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, being flexible and supporting with shared tasks. 

Our main adult theatre is a busy and dynamic environment, setting the benchmark for clinical excellence. We have 5 operating suites catering for a myriad of cases, but focus of this post is to provide surgical support for Neuro/Bariatric patients. We work with surgeons who are the best in their specialities carrying out from simple to the more complex surgeries.

  • Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate peri-operative patient care.

  • Participate in the delegation and supervision of junior grades, non-registered and less experienced staff.

  • Create and maintain legible and accurate records of care in accordance with BUPA and the Cromwell Hospitals’ local policies and procedures.

  • Assist in the positioning and preparation of a patient as directed by the surgical team and ensure that any specimens are correctly labelled and dispatched to the laboratory.

  • Help to control cross infection by observing departmental policy regarding dress, the maintenance of a clean working environment, decontamination and sterilisation procedures and asepsis.

  • Prepare patients for clinical/ operative procedures, both in anaesthetics and surgery.

  • Participate fully as a team member, including working in all areas of the theatre suite, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues, to promote a cohesive team and the achievement of team objectives.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • RN – 1st level Registration Adult and/or Children / Diploma or Degree in  Health Care Studies  / ODP Level 3 NVQ / ODA 752.

  • Previous scrub nurse experience.

  • Proven recent perioperative experience

  • Ability to deliver high standards of care.

The role

Overview:

The Lead Rehabilitation Physiotherapist role includes both clinical and leadership aspects, leading the rehabilitation team. The team covers neurological rehabilitation, oncology, medical / surgical and cardio / respiratory service. You will be responsible for the daily operational management and clinical leadership of the Rehabilitation team in conjunction with the Physiotherapy Lead. You will carry a clinical caseload as per your area of interest and expertise.

You are a highly skilled physiotherapist able to undertake all aspects of your clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner. You will provide a client-centred and evidence-based service to adult in- and outpatients in your speciality which could be Neurological Rehabilitation, Oncology or Medical Surgical. You will receive referrals from the wards, consultant, GP clinics and other external routes.

This rehabilitation service provides assessment and treatment to a caseload of patients with complex needs as listed above.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide exceptional programmes of care for patients through assessment and implementation of highly specialist treatments in order to maximise their rehabilitation outcomes.

  • Communicate condition-related information to patients, relatives and carers and use appropriate methods to address barriers to communication.

  • Deal sensitively and empathetically with distressing or emotional circumstances regarding patient care.

We have a network of Health Clinics across the UK that provide a range of private health services such as physiotherapy, health assessments and GP appointments.  Our services and treatments are available to everyone – not just those with health insurance.

Role Overview

This is an exciting role working within Health Services.  You will be dealing with both new and repeat self-pay and business customers, selling and assisting them in booking their Health Assessment, MSK appointment or GP visit.

You will be responding to web chats and emails to resolve customer queries, taking ownership until resolved and actioning changes to client records in an accurate and timely manner. 

Also taking inbound customer calls and taking the necessary action required to resolve their queries and proactively making outbound calls to customers.

  • Identify and support the delivery of enhancements to operations based on industry trends; evolving customer expectations; and experience, including the digitisation and automation of processes, documentation, and training & awareness.

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Educated to degree level or certified in relevant audit, risk, and security certifications preferably with one of the following: IIA, CISA, CISM, or CISSP, or equivalent experience.

  • Extensive skills and experience across IT Security/Assurance, Compliance or Risk, with experience of IT Risk and Assurance frameworks, and control assurance assessments (e.g. ISO 27001, PCI DSS, CIS 20, NIST, ISACA IT Risk).

  • Working to tight deadlines, maintaining delivery of consistent and well-constructed outputs.

  • Ability to communicate and influence at all levels across multiple business areas such as Legal, Data Privacy, Risk Managers or Business Stakeholders, as well as Bupa’s customers.

  • Extensive experience in carrying out IT controls assessments with skills in Cyber and IT Risk.

  • Experience of Assurance concepts preferably with internal IT Compliance or IT Control assurance experience.

  • Experience of Risk Management, preferably concepts and terminology, preferably IT, understanding the role controls play in risk mitigation.

  • Excellent Communication and written English skills are essential.

Your role as a Theatre Practitioner – Anaesthetics is to be responsible for providing skilled clinical and technical assistance as a member of the operating theatre team, and to participate in the assessment of patient care needs and implement and maintain agreed standards of care.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide assistance to the consultants during all surgical procedures whether under local/regional/sedation/general anaesthetic.

  • Assist in the positioning and preparation of a patient as directed by the surgical team and ensure that any specimens are correctly labelled and dispatched to the laboratory.

  • Prepare patients for clinical / operative procedures and provide immediate post-operative care.

  • Participate in the delegation and supervision of junior grades, unqualified and less experienced staff.

  • Work with members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team following local protocols and standards.

  • Create and maintain legible and accurate records of care in accordance with Bupa and the Cromwell Hospitals’ local policies and procedures.

  • Participate fully as a team member, including working in all areas of the theatre suite, sharing knowledge and information and supporting colleagues, to promote a cohesive team and the achievement of team objectives.

  • Perform high quality examinations as required by referring physicians according to departmental policies and procedures.

  • Ensure that all patients being imaged receive a very high standard of care.

  • Accurately analyse the acquired data, record results and produce high quality images for reporting.

  • Ensure all equipment within the department is cared for and maintained, cleanliness is upheld and that all equipment faults are reported immediately.

  • Maintain the efficient use of all resources, establish stock control systems and liaise with manufacturers and suppliers.

  • A flexible and adaptive working attitude is crucial.

  • Use your own initiative in responding to the needs of the service and have a strong focus on streamlining the patient pathway through the imaging department.
