Role Overview

As the area Trainer you will deliver effective operational training as directed within the care homes and retirement Villages and support operations to achieve and maintain mandatory training compliance.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver training and facilitate learning using a range of training methods to motivate and meet the needs of different learning styles.
  • Support and facilitate access to e-learning and e-assessment for all staff as required.
  • Deliver the Induction/Mandatory training requirements
  • Establish a purposeful and motivating training and learning environment where learners with diverse learning needs feel safe, secure, confident, and valued
  • Communicate effectively and promote awareness of the training opportunities and planned training activity

What you’ll do:

Caring for Level 2 and Level 3 patients, you will come across a wide range of cases which include Colorectal, Orthopaedics, Cardiothoracic, Lung surgery, Renal Transplants, Vascular, Liver Robotics, Neuro, Maxillofacial and Medical patients. Your duties will involve but not limited to:

  • Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate high standards of nursing care for Critical Care patients.
  • Work within a team, supervising and directing more junior staff and deputising for Senior Staff Nurse as required.
  • Act as a clinical role model for all members of staff, driving high standards of care at all times.
  • Collaboratively working with MDT which consists of Doctors, Pharmacists, Dieticians, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Infection Control & Tissue Viability Nurses to ensure the best quality of care is provided.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, best practice and NMC codes with due care and attention

You’ll have a support network around you, giving you the time to dedicate to each patient. We operate on a 4:3 model with 2 Supernumerary in charge staff so support is always on hand. You’ll be provided with resources to develop personally and professionally, with access to internal and external courses so there’s always opportunity for you to grow and develop. We also provide a 24/7 Outreach service in which you may potentially develop to.

  • An active Adult General Adult NMC pin
  • Current nursing experience in Critical Care
  • Desire to develop both professionally and personally
  • Team player abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • ICU / Mentorship Course would be advantageous

Role Overview

The Senior Technical Analyst’s role is to maintain and assist in the development of the Bupa infrastructure to ensure the stable operation of the organisation’s IT Systems and delivery of IT Services.

What you’ll do:

  • The Senior Technical Analyst is responsible for the network infrastructure, core and Azure server/service infrastructure, server/data security, EUC, data communications and telecommunications systems alongside Bupa’s outsourced IT Service Support for WAN network provision.
  • The role will act as the escalation point for less experienced engineers and analysts and will identify and remedy root causes of Service downtime. The Senior Technical Analyst will assist and, in some cases, lead IT Management in Continual Service Improvement, automating or standardising Service outage responses and removing root causes of Service downtime.
  • The Senior Technical Analyst is part of the Infrastructure Operations Team, who are primarily tasked with providing 3rd line BAU workstreams, supporting other IT teams, and assisting with the deployment of projects that have been initiated by the internal IT PMO and IT management.
  • Maintain a strong Customer focus at all times.

What you’ll bring:

  • In depth knowledge of Microsoft Operating systems both EUC and Server OS
  • Demonstrable experience with VOIP systems
  • In-depth understanding of VMWARE Version 6-7
  • In-depth understanding of Cisco networking products and administration of IT project delivery

About the area you’ll be working in

We are looking for a nearly or newly qualified Capital Actuary to join our Group Actuarial team at Bupa’s London office. This is a broad role in which you will enjoy significant exposure to our senior leadership teams at Bupa – including our Chief Actuaries and Finance Directors. Further, you will build strong relationships with our global business areas.

What you’ll be doing

  • Plan and deliver the annual capital assessment including developing and maintaining the Economic Capital Model for Bupa Group and Bupa Insurance entity, with particular emphasis on the methodology, risk calibration, dependency/aggregation, validation and analysis of economic capital requirements.

  • Assist the modelling and risk calibrations update process, maintain the model documentations and prepare reports of the modelled results in line with Bupa Enterprise Risk Policies and Standards.

  • Prepare the analysis and associated investigations to risk calibration models,  participate in workshop discussions with key stakeholders in both insurance and healthcare provision businesses.

  • Implement modelling changes to the Capital Modelling platform (Aon ReMetrica) and ensure the underlying change processes are properly controlled, documented and reliably produce required outputs.

  • Support the development and embedding of Economic Capital models across Bupa, enabling the capital models to be used as a tool to support business decisions including risk appetite review, investment strategy, capital allocation, capital optimisation and business scenario analyses.

  • Analyse capital adequacy regulations to ensure Bupa complies with all relevant regulatory requirements; drive continuous improvement in capital models, data transformation, methods and assumptions, process and controls

  • Prepare the capital requirements reporting content for reports to the Executive, Board and Bupa’s regulators e.g. ORSA, SFCR

  • Develop business solutions to challenges and opportunities that arise

Who we’re looking for?

  • Newly / nearly qualified Actuary (e.g. IFoA)

  • General, Health or Life Insurance background

  • Previous exposure to capital modelling techniques and reporting

  • Aon Re-Metrica or Aon Tyche software knowledge is an advantage, but not essential

  • Gravitas to engage with Executive leaders at Bupa

  • Proactive mindset, ability to work independently
