Assistant Project Manager

Reporting into the Contract Services Manager you will help and support the successful delivery of project(s) within budget and on time, whilst managing stakeholder and supplier relationships and helping to guide small project teams and further develop the organisations project management capability. To support to overall governance in accordance with Telent and Client QEHS procedures and ensure client expectations are met.
What you’ll do:
- Assist in the financial performance of assigned project activities, including monitoring and reporting through designated systems.
- Support material ordering process as directed by the designated Project Lead
- Support of logistics plans to meet the delivery programme.
- Assist in the production of project documentation and store on designated system as directed by the designated Project Lead
- Support the specified project change control process as directed by the designated Project Lead
- Support Site Safety Inspections as per the project inspection calendar set by the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager.
- Support with site handover processes
- Support, and where directed organise and coordinate, stage gate meetings such as project kick off meetings, project gate reviews (design, start on construction), project close out sessions as defined in the Project Execution/Mobilisation Plan.
- Support the collation of information for the monthly contract review
- Collaborates and communicates with Project Stakeholders
Who you are:
This role is working as an Assistant Project Manager across many small projects in a very fast paced environment. It would be ideal for someone with excellent interpersonal skills, strong stake holder management, organised and able to manage their own time.
Key Requirements:
- Highly organised with the ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent Excel skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the business
- Good presentation skills, both written and oral
- Awareness of Quality, Health, Safety and Environment regulations
- Ability to operate with minimal supervision in a complex environment
- Excellent time management with the ability to multi-task
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Awareness of Financial and commercial practices
- Awareness of Document Management Systems
