Job Summary
As a Business Development Representative in our Network Services division, this is an early career sales role, possibly your first sales role. You will be supported with a structured training program leading to a Level 3 IT Tech Sales qualification and be part of an experienced and skilled team developing and closing new business opportunities. You will create new sales strategy campaigns, driving business across the products and services we offer. The successful candidate and rotate across different areas of the sales team, allowing you to build an excellent understand of the solutions we provide and sectors we operate within.
Key Deliverables
- Create and conduct campaigns to identify potential accounts and business opportunities within your allocated territory.
- Build comprehensive knowledge of Telent, our products and services offering and the markets we operate within.
- Perform targeted prospect outreach via phone calls, emails, social selling and your own creative efforts, generating an interest in the company offering and selling its benefits.
- Work closely with the sales team to support the sales pipeline growth by actively researching target accounts and key stakeholders within them.
- Build an understanding of the vendors, products, solutions and services Telent offer.
- Support the preparation of proposals, presentations and sales pitches for prospective clients.
- Assist in tracking and reporting on business development activities and outcomes.
- Maintain and update system with relevant client, sales activities and pipeline generation.

- You are a mature and motivated person who has a passion for technology. You will be comfortable building relationships with new and existing clients.
- Resilient, personable and empathetic.
- Flexible working approach: we offer a hybrid working approach, however, you will be expected to visit Telent sites as and when required.
- Although supported throughout the programme by us at Telent, you will need to take ownership of your tasks and personal development.
- Communication is vital; you will need to be an effective communicator both in writing and verbally.
Key requirements:
- The desire and drive to develop a career in business-to-business technology sales
- Must be eligible to work in the UK
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Minimum 2 years’ workplace experience
- Degree educated (desirable)
- Ability to work towards targets and tight deadlines.
