Digital Portfolio Manager

We are looking for a highly organised and data-driven digital portfolio manager to oversee the delivery of digital initiatives across multiple squads within the digital team.

You will provide visibility on portfolio health, track squad and overall portfolio performance against key KPIs, ensure dependencies are acknowledged and managed, and oversee budget alignment with business outcomes.

Working closely with digital leads, product managers, and senior digital stakeholders, you will ensure that digital initiatives remain on track, deliver measurable value, and align with strategic priorities.

Here’s a taste of what you’ll be doing:

  • Build, share and report on digital performance dashboards: Ensure senior stakeholders have visibility into key metrics and performance trends.

  • Delivery oversight: Monitor and report on the progress of digital initiatives across squads, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.

  • Performance monitoring: Track squad health and performance across KPIs such as delivery cadence, velocity, and business impact, ensuring transparency for senior stakeholders.

  • Strategic goals & OKRs alignment: Ensure digital initiatives align with company strategy and contribute towards achieving key business goals.

  • Value tracking & reporting: Provide senior leadership with clear insights into the impact of digital initiatives, ensuring a focus on measurable outcomes.

  • Dependency management: Ensure cross-team dependencies are acknowledged, tracked, and addressed within squads and other functions.

  • Risk management: Proactively identify, track, and escalate risks that could impact digital delivery, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place.

  • Governance & compliance: Oversee adherence to governance, regulatory, and compliance requirements, ensuring product managers check and address them.

  • Cross-team collaboration: Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration between squads to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Continuous improvement: Use data-driven insights to drive improvements in digital delivery processes and ways of working.

  • Stakeholder engagement: Engage with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and support for digital priorities.

  • Lessons learned: Ensure that learnings from past initiatives are captured and applied to improve future digital delivery.

It would be great if you had:

  • Strong experience in digital portfolio, programme, or senior project management roles within a fast-paced digital environment.

  • Experience working in the energy sector or similar regulated industries.

  • Deep understanding of agile methodologies and working with multiple squads in a digital setting.

  • Proven ability to track and report on digital delivery performance using KPIs and data-driven insights.

  • Experience overseeing budgets and ensuring financial alignment with digital outcomes.

  • Strong risk management skills, with the ability to proactively identify and escalate potential issues.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging senior leadership.

  • Ability to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing across teams.

  • Experience with governance, compliance, and regulatory considerations in digital delivery.

  • Data-driven mindset with experience using tools like Tableau, Jira, or Asana to track delivery performance.

  • Proactive and results-driven, with a strong ability to turn insights into action.

  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.

  • Resilient and adaptable, able to thrive in a constantly evolving business landscape.
