Job purpose / Overview:
Learning Specialists understand performance learning gaps within NATS and create solutions to resolve this with support from the wider Design & Development team. With an educational or training background, you will work alongside Operational colleagues to provide engaging and creative learning across a variety of roles – focussed upon understanding, analysing, and evaluating learning and training needs.
Other duties Include:
- Establish, measure, and manage metrics and performance criteria for learning solutions
- Select appropriate analysis methods and report findings on individuals, groups, or large areas of operational staff
- Design and allocate innovative learning solutions and engage learners across a variety of learning styles
- Integrate adult learning theory into course content across both technical and non-technical (behavioural) to influence speed of learning and retention
- Maintain enhanced knowledge of learning trends, analysis, design, and development, and pro-actively share findings to ensure best practice
- Generate and accurately maintain creative briefs, learning templates, documents and reports to produce solution vision proposals, and future learning solutions
- Design and facilitate “Train the Trainer” and/or handover activities to ensure successful transference for delivery, providing coaching and support through the process
- Lead, champion and be the focal point for learning solutions
- Advising on design and development of procedures and specialist insights into creation of learning solutions
Essential skills and experience:
- Practical experience in training or education – teaching, facilitation, learning qualifications (or equivalent experience) is advantageous
- Practical experience in design and development of modern training or education materials, qualifications in development software or design would be advantageous
- Passionate about learning and the need to provide professional design and development of training.
- Persuasive, and confident with the ability to influence people at all levels within NATS
- Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment with effective communication and a collaborative working style
- Detail oriented with a track record in proactively driving change and business improvements
- Ability to engage and influence operational and non-operational staff to ensure positive outcomes for individuals
- Experience in managing multiple work streams, allocation planning, and project management is desirable
- Proficient with MS Office, TEAMS
