Quality Assurance Specialist (Centre of Excellence)

Job Purpose:

The Quality Assurance Specialist will support the delivery of our portfolio, programmes & projects, and other change initiatives across the business, ensuring that quality and assurance considerations are effectively built into and adopted by our delivery practices, whilst contributing to process improvement, and supporting the overall success of the portfolio.

Duties Include:

  • Develop and execute quality assurance plans
  • Monitor and report on the implementation of quality measures and compliance with project standards
  • Conduct quality reviews and inspections to ensure deliverables meet project requirements.
  • Provide analysis and contribute to the identification and resolution of quality issues
  • Participate in acceptance, gate reviews, configuration management, and change management processes to ensure quality considerations are integrated

Quality Reporting and Analysis:

  • Prepare and present quality assurance reports, highlighting key findings, risks, and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Track and analyse quality metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of quality standards and processes

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with CoE colleagues, project managers, PMO teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with quality standards and best practices.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to drive quality improvement initiatives.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Contribute to lessons learned sessions
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and evolving quality management methodologies to recommend improvements.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions for quality issues

Regulatory and Standards Compliance:

  • Ensure that all projects adhere to relevant regulatory and industry standards.
  • Conduct and support audits and reviews to verify compliance with quality and regulatory requirements

Qualifications/Skills:

  • An engineering related Qualification to HNC level or above or relevant industry experience coupled with a professional qualification (e.g., Quality Management, PMO, Programme/Project Management, P3O)
  • Knowledge of current and evolving project management processes and methodologies
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with a logical and structured approach to work
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and work alongside more experienced colleagues
  • Experience with ISO9001 standards, preferably with Lead Auditor qualification is desirable but not essential
