Senior Project Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join NATS Solutions and Innovations team, that deliver unique cutting-edge software solutions against a Project Programme/Portfolio.
You will develop fully costed, resourced and deliverable plans, manage risk against complex investment / customer requirements, ultimately achieve successful delivery and project closure.

Other duties include:

  • Lead strategic Major & Complex bids, ensuring work is structured and robust schedules are created
  • Manage internal resource, partners, suppliers and/or sub-contractors through full lifecycle of projects
  • Achieve performance targets and represent NATS / Project, directly to customer and project stakeholders
  • Ensure project mobilisation, planning and scheduling, tracking of milestones and project requirements, management of the project critical path, assess risk (threats and opportunities), issue resolution, project finances (tracking actual spend and forecast) and change management.
  • Competitive planning for higher value/higher risk or strategically important bids
  • Stakeholder meetings, presentations, reports, and workshops
  • Communicate business intelligence to relevant NATS Commercial Teams (e.g., Business Development, Account Managers)
  • Apply quality management processes including deliverables, issues, decisions & outputs, and lessons learnt
  • Provide recommendations to improve delivery of investment requests, projects, and product improvement

Essential skills and experience:

  • A business-based qualification at degree level or equivalent with evidence of continued professional development
  • Qualified or working towards APM-PPQ in project management or equivalent
  • Capable of leading and managing several major & complex projects
  • Proven skills in all facets of Project and Risk Management
  • Analytical, and conceptual reasoning skills, strong communicator
  • Credible with sophisticated negotiation and conflict resolution style
  • Collaborative with a relentless focus on delivering customer centric, profitable outcomes
  • Resilient and highly developed situational awareness
  • Background in the Air Traffic Management (ATM) market, or similar experience within an innovation space
  • Able to develop mutually beneficial relationships, and work with customers directly to influence requirements and decision making
  • Flexible with travel both within the UK and internationally when required
