About the role:
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager you’ll join a cohesive team who manage procurement for our IT category (contracts, licenses, software, hardware etc). You’ll support the implementation of corporate IT category strategy and portfolio of spend across the NATS group, undertake sourcing activity to support the delivery of category objectives and provide data analysis to support identification or opportunities to enhance value.
Key responsibilities:
- Undertake end-to-end sourcing activity for defined areas across corporate using a variety of sourcing options, including e-auctions.
- Take responsibility for specific sub-categories and/or and be the interface internally and externally for those relationships.
- Ensure all contracts are legally and ethically compliant.
- Undertake effective supplier on-boarding and due diligence activity.
- Provide support for order management activity, including creation, maintenance and management of catalogues, and act as the key interface between the category and Supply Chain Services, resolving issues and identifying efficiencies.
- Provide data and reports and use analysis to identify opportunities for potential cost savings and transactional efficiencies.
- Renew Outline Agreements and create contracts in Ariba.
- Act as the front-line interface for NATS’ internal customers and suppliers.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the end-to-end procurement process, develop strong working relationships with Supply Chain teams and stakeholders, to provide support and optimise category performance, as well as enhance value for money (risk, cost, and performance).
Essential skills & experience:
- A Supply Chain & Procurement professional with knowledge of Supply Chain and purchase order systems and processes (SAP, Ariba and e-sourcing systems).
- Indirect category procurement experience in a centralised procurement function.
- Background in IT procurement preferred, and experience working within a similar large, complex organisation.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- An excellent communicator with demonstrable experience of effective engagement with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Tail-end spend management and tactical sourcing, including e-auctions and negotiation.
- Spend analysis and reporting, including Delivery of ‘bottom line’ savings.
- Membership (or working towards membership) of a relevant professional body (e.g. CIPS) is desirable.
