Technical Services Support

Job Purpose:
To provide comprehensive, consistent, and efficient support services to departments and projects within Technical Services to ensure the successful achievement of business objectives

You will provide support to the whole of technical services. Providing our training department with services including, updating our database, maintaining capability matrix and collating future training requirements for all engineers. Providing monthly reports as directed. As well as a wide range of requests as dictated by business needs which include but are not limited to:

  • Chasing actions, document change requests, journaling, purchasing, receipting, sharepoint support and site access requests
  • Ensure all of technical services are supported in order to provide operational services. This can include, contractor engagement, audit management, resolving queries, financial monitoring & timesheet administration
  • Receiving safeguarding application requests, carry out using modelling tools and distributing to relevant technical and air traffic control operational assessors
  • Manage the recruitment and onboarding of contractual staff, maintain contract information and ensure the renewal of contracts
  • Business support for a variety of stakeholders and their teams. Safety culture support, booking of and logging faults, contingency support and ensure all engineering equipment remain fit for purpose

Essential skills and experience:

  • Minimum GCSEs in Maths and English
  • Excellent knowledge of IT applications – Office 365, SharePoint etc
  • Knowledge (or ability to learn) of Supply Chain Management procurement tools (ARIBA)
  • Knowledge (or ability to learn) of SAP functionality
  • Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail and an ability to follow well defined processes
  • Ability to prioritise tasks according to business needs
  • Must be able to work to strict timescales and adapt quickly and easily to changes in tasks
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work both autonomously and as part of a team, sharing knowledge and resolving issues as a team
  • Must be able to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences but understand the importance of listening and seeking feedback
  • Excellent networking skills to establish key contacts around the organisation, valuing them and using them effectively to foster enduring relationships
