Overview:
We are looking for a Regulatory and Financial Reporting Accountant to join our Canary Wharf-based Finance team on a 12-month fixed term contract. Reporting to the Head of Controlling and Reporting, you will be responsible for the provision of accurate and timely data, calculations and qualitative information and be in direct communication with the UK Regulator. You will contribute to the financial accounting and risk controlling tasks within the local Finance Controlling function.
What you will do:
Regulatory Reporting
– Be the business owner of the software implemented for Regulatory calculations fully understanding all aspects of the process.
– Obtain accurate quantitative inputs for the software. Summarise results and be able to have informed discussions with the Regulator / provide clear communication and guidance to local management.
– Prepare qualitative reports (ORSA…) for submission to the Regulator liaising with AZT SA / Group teams to ensure consistency.
– Contribute suggestions and guidance to maximise the combined efficiency of the UK branch / AZT SA capital position Financial Accounting and Risk Controlling
– Contribute to the local AZT UK financial function (monthly close, statutory account preparation, communication with non-finance areas of the business).
– Risk controlling function: capture & report operational risk events; report technical data (claims / premiums) for provision in to local / group reporting processes.
