As Corporate Engagement Manager, you will be creative and have the autonomy to design and deliver events and campaigns which inform and engage colleagues at all levels. From working closely with our chosen ‘Charity of Choice’ representatives on a timeline of events for the annual Charity of Choice campaign to procuring guest speakers and venues, to designing a high-profile leadership event on behalf of the Executive team – this role has everything to offer.
You will need to rely upon your networking skills to source and lead working groups of colleagues from across the agency to help you deliver effective campaigns/events. To achieve maximum engagement, you will also work closely with communications colleagues and wider stakeholders to agree objectives and set activities.
You will need to be flexible and adapt to the changing environment and be able to plan and manage several activities simultaneously. This role may also have line management responsibility.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Leading the end-to-end delivery of high-profile corporate events including leadership conferences, colleague awards and charity initiatives, ensuring strategic objectives are met and key messages are effectively communicated
- Development, and implementation, of internal engagement campaigns aligned with government and agency strategy, working collaboratively with communications colleagues and wider stakeholders
- Owning and managing the DVLA Charity of Choice programme, including building and maintaining relationships with charity representatives and coordinating volunteer networks across the agency
- Providing strategic leadership and expert guidance on event planning to other areas of the agency.
Person specification
- Experience in organising high profile events, from developing proposals, running the event through to evaluation
- Experience in developing creative and effective internal engagement campaigns that meet the needs of the audience
- Highly organised with the ability to work on your own initiative and deliver to multiple and changing deadlines/priorities
- Ability to establish and maintain strong, trusted relationships with people at all levels to achieve positive outcomes
- Confident and passionate communicator with strong presentation skills
