The Corporate Liaison Officer provides quality responses to correspondence, often of a high-profile nature, from varied audiences, providing a quality service to customers (internal and external), upholding our corporate reputation, working with stakeholders to manage their needs and expectations.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Drafting and managing accurate and concise responses to correspondence from varied audiences, including, but not limited to: correspondence sent to the Chief Executive from the public, and Members of Parliament, Treat Official correspondence, and other forms of correspondence.
- Providing a quality service to our customers (internal and external), upholding the agency’s and team’s reputation, working with stakeholders to manage their needs and expectations.
- Provide, as needed, statistical and narrative data for Ministers, Senior DfT officials, and DVSA directors.
- Attend and engage at meetings with various departments and stakeholders, both internal and external, to represent the team.
- Work in collaboration with other colleagues across all functions for the good of DVSA and to create a high performing and well-respected Agency.

Person specification
We’re looking for someone with exceptional writing skills who can create high-quality responses to correspondence. You have an eye for detail and take pride in your work, ensuring everything is accurate and grammatically correct and written in plain English, whilst still meeting tight correspondence deadlines.
We would encourage you to apply for the role if you enjoy focusing on the task at hand and love seeing your work through to completion. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a heavy workload is crucial for this role.

Additional Information
This role can be based in Birmingham, Bristol, Leeds, Newcastle, Nottingham or Swansea, your presence at one of these locations will form part of the working arrangements agreed with you. This role is suitable for hybrid working, and therefore a combination of workplace and home-based working can be accommodated subject to business requirements. Hybrid working is a non-contractual arrangement where employees have the flexibility to work remotely combined with a minimum of 60% of their working time a month at either their principal workplace (one of the locations cited in the advert) or, when required for business reasons, to carry out separate duties at alternative working locations or DVSA sites. There may be occasions where you are required to attend above the minimum expectation.

There will be occasional travel to other DVSA sites to work collaboratively with colleagues, including overnight stays as part of this role.
