As a Data Sharing Clearance Support Manager, you will join a small, dynamic team committed to upholding the DVLA’s data sharing Governance Process.

Your role will involve managing and overseeing straightforward data sharing requests, offering you valuable learning experiences and opportunities for professional development. We will look to you to maintain the expected standards and expectations for the assurance lifecycle in relation to both internal and external requests received by DVLA, understanding the need for discretion at the appropriate times and an ability to deliver at pace.

In this position, you will collaborate with various stakeholders while working as part of a broader remote team.

You will need to be motivated individual who excels in a compliance-focused environment, providing support to senior management while delivering exceptional customer service.

You should possess a keen eye for detail and a talent for analysing information. Your consultative skills will enable you to provide information assurance support to delivery teams and the wider organisation, ensuring that our data security processes comply with regulatory and legislative standards.

The successful candidate will have line management responsibility for 1 Administrative Officer.

Responsibilities 

Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

• Supporting the delivery of data governance activities for the sharing and processing of all data, including the preparation of data sharing requests.
• Maintaining the process for recording and monitoring all requests for DVLA data.
• Supporting the review and improvement of existing data sharing arrangements. Working with project teams, business units and Services Managers on new products and developments.
• Working with internal and external stakeholders to continuously improve the process we provide.
• Ensuring that all information is captured in an accurate and timely manner on relevant business systems.

Additional Information

Person specification

For this role, you will need to be able to work with others and build strong relations with internal and external stakeholders, while balancing a diverse workload in a reactive environment. You will need to be highly organised and able to plan effectively.

We would love a confident individual with excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing with the ability to tailor this to your audience.

You will be a positive and an enthusiastic individual with a flexible attitude and have the ability to work under your own initiative. In addition, you will be able to adapt to changing priorities, whilst remaining resilient when under pressure.

You will possess strong IT proficiency and have a proven understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint.

You will possess the aptitude to build awareness, knowledge, and experience in following and applying the relevant legislation, guidance, and policies. IAG are committed to training staff and the successful candidate will be encouraged to continue to develop themselves and their direct reports.
