We are looking for a Digital Sport Audience Reporter who will be delivering exclusives, agenda-setting analysis and finding the biggest and best stories across sport which engage as many readers as possible and shed new light to fans hungry for the latest news.

This role is home and hub based linked to our Canary Wharf Hub. We are therefore open to candidates based in and around the London area.

What will the role involve?

This role exists to find and create content designed to reach  and engage with the largest possible audience across our Reach regional sports portfolio. The responsibilities include covering stories and trending topics which matter to fans in a way that ensures as many people as possible discover and respond to our work.

You will be a first class story teller with exceptional writing skills and excellent verbal communication. You will also expertise in search/SEO/Discover and an in-depth understanding of trending content, with a sharp eye for emerging trends.

Who are we looking for?

  • NCTJ or equivalent journalism degree and knowledge of media law
  • A passion for digital storytelling in sports journalism
  • Have a proven track record of finding and reporting on the stories and issues which matter to football fans in a way which ensures as many people as possible find, discover and engage with our work
  • A strong people person who can develop and build contacts and knows the right questions to ask to get the best stories
  • A creative individual who can deliver constant flow of story ideas
  • Strong digital publishing skills including working a CMS, shooting video, taking pictures
  • Full clean driving licence preferable
