Insight into the role
Our services are built by highly collaborative product teams, jam packed with hard-working product managers, designers and engineers constantly striving for ways to innovate our services and improve our technology platforms and practices. The Platform Engineering collective build and maintain the services that allow our product teams to deliver value for our users and to enable best-practice software delivery.
We’re heavily invested in AWS and so you’ll need to be enthusiastic about working in an AWS-driven environment.
How you’ll spend your day
- Help to secure and monitor our AWS environments
- Build internal platforms and capabilities using infrastructure as code
- Developing serverless tools and guardrails delivering a frictionless developer experience
- Implementing best in breed build, test, deployment and monitoring processes
- Continually identifying areas for improvement through automation, documentation, process or working methods
- Pushing the boundaries, questioning the status quo, ensuring what we are doing and what we are building is the very best it can be
What value you’ll bring to the role
- You’ll have experience of working with IaC tools such as CloudFormation, CDK and Terraform
- Passionate about DevOps tools and the value they can add to development teams
- Have a good understanding of automation techniques and best practice software engineering
- Ability, and experience of software engineering using TypeScript
- It’s not crucial, but showing learning and professional development with AWS certification/s
- Working in a range of IT roles such as networking, firewall configuration or directory management
- Understand the importance of driving quality into code through test automation
- You want to grow within your career and are looking for a place that lets you have immediate, meaningful impact
- Pragmatic and deliver thoughtful, awesome solutions to tackle business problems
- Passionate about engineering, sociable, with a great appetite for learning and self-improvement
