PURPOSE OF ROLE:
The SEO Manager will take full responsibility for the channel, SEO team and deliver a best-in-class SEO strategy.
Reporting into the Senior Website Performance Manager and Senior Performance Marketing Manager, working with internal and external support resources, the successful candidate will identify key opportunities, hypothesize strategies, and execute these to deliver on KPI’s.
Requirements
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with the Senior Website Performance Manager, Content Manager, and wider Website team to deliver an effective SEO strategy.
• Work with the Senior Performance Marketing Manager to set and optimize the strategy for SEO including KPI’s.
• Constantly monitor and improve SEO performance through consistent reporting, regular review and enhancing the data available.
• Deliver improved rankings and visibility with a focus on quality over quantity.
• Manage an SEO team of 3+ experts, including writers and analysts.
• Running technical audits, prioritizing, and implementing tasks alongside Product & Tech.
• Be the SEO lead for medium and small projects, technical queries and ad hoc content queries.
• Work with the Editorial team to improve the SEO of their content including internal linking from articles to relevant pages e.g. products and suggesting topics to cover based on Search Volume and Trends.
• Develop link building / outreach campaigns in tandem with content and Editorial teams.
• Develop a test and learn culture.
• Day-to-day management of third-party agencies, partners, and suppliers.
• Support the wider marketing team with holistic views, other channels, and campaign work.
• Support conversion rate optimization.
• Support the marketing specific development of junior members of the team.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• In-depth SEO experience – across technical and content.
• Strong technical SEO experience required.
• Strong data analysis skills.
• Team management experience.
• Self-starter with a very strong work ethic.
• Knowledge of JavaScript SEO (desirable).
• Exposure of building visual reports in Google Data Studio or similar (desirable).
