The Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) is an armed police service that’s dedicated to the nuclear industry. Given the critical nature of our work, it’s vital that we recruit skilled and committed professionals. You’ll join us as Systems Development Manager to ensure that our ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system is available, fit for purpose, updated, supported and staff are trained in its use.
At the CNC we’ve gone through a transformation project of our core systems, and implemented an Oracle based system – Business and People Support System (BPSS). We’re looking for a Systems Development Manager proactively drive forward the continuous improvement of the system and supporting the implementation of changes. Your role will include managing the forward schedule of change, managing the planning, testing, and implementation of change requests and ensuring compliance with all security aspects. You’ll be a confident communicator; collaborating with business areas to understand their challenges and then work with internal and external teams to scope, cost and implement solutions to deliver service improvements.
You’ll have a keen eye for detail; overseeing the schedule of maintenance and supporting with creating business cases, user journeys and overviewing regular upgrades to identify, prioritise, implement and measure return on investment. You’ll be responsible for maintaining logs on functional upgrades and enhancements, Continuous Improvement logs and reporting on benefits realisation and problem management resolution.
We’re looking for someone to join us with experience of business systems or applications, preferably Oracle Fusion, HCM and related modules. It would be advantageous if you held, or were willing to work towards, the ITIL Foundation Certificate and/or a Change Management qualification to bolster your experience. You will need to have excellent document writing skills, and strong listening and recording skills with a strong attention to detail. As you’ll be collaborating closely with customers from across the organisation, you will have highly developed interpersonal skills and good communication skills with a variety of audiences.
This role has been assessed as suitable for hybrid working, with the details to be agreed with your line manager. There will be ad-hoc travel across the UK involved-in this position for meetings.
